2025 marks a pivotal year as China’s hydrogen industry surpasses trillion-yuan scale, with breakthroughs in transport and industrial decarbonization. Hydrogen energy is now shifting from pilot projects to full-scale commercialization – transforming sectors from logistics to steel and chemicals as the ultimate clean energy solution.

At the 15th China International Clean Energy Expo (China Hydrogen Show), Beijing National Convention Center will host 2,000+ global exhibitors from 30+ countries, showcasing the complete hydrogen value chain. Under the theme "Hydrogen 2.0: From Demo to Market", Shanghai H-Ray S&T Co., Ltd. will unveil its integrated solutions – from core materials, MEA, stacks to turnkey systems, demonstrating why we’re the partner of choice for hydrogen commercialization.

Air Liquide Houpu Hydrogen Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. (referred to as "ALHP"), a Sino-French joint venture between Air Liquide Group and Houpu Clean Energy Group, is an innovation pioneer in hydrogen infrastructure. The company specializes in the R&D, manufacturing, and system integration of hydrogen refueling equipment, offering full-industry-chain solutions globally to meet the urgent demand for efficient hydrogen refueling technologies amid rapid industry growth.

In China, ALHP has built several landmark projects, including:

· The world’s largest hydrogen refueling station

· China’s first integrated energy (multi-fuel) station

· Shanghai’s first 1,000kg oil-hydrogen hybrid station

· Zhejiang’s first oil-hydrogen co-located station

· The first hydrogen station for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics

With innovations extending worldwide, ALHP’s core equipment and technical solutions have been deployed across Europe, Australia, South Korea, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, and more. In 2024, the company supported the Paris Olympics by providing hydrogen refueling solutions, contributing to the event’s carbon-neutral goals.

Strategic Collaboration Announcement

To address the growing demand for integrated hydrogen production-refueling stations, H-Ray S&T and ALHP have officially signed a strategic partnership agreement. Together, they will:

· Deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions for integrated hydrogen production and refueling

· Drive down the cost of hydrogen production and utilization

· Accelerate the large-scale commercialization of hydrogen energy

This collaboration marks a significant step toward a sustainable, low-carbon future.

At the Hydrogen forum held during the exhibition, Mr. Hu Dalin, Vice General Manager of H-Ray S&T, delivered a keynote speech titled "High-Efficiency PEM Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Technology and Market Development Opportunities". Mr.Hu pointed out that PEM electrolysis technology, with its rapid response capability (20-minute cold start, 3-second warm start) and wide power fluctuation adaptability (10%-120%), has become the "gold standard technology" for coupling with renewable energy sources. Its dynamic regulation capability can effectively absorb fluctuating renewable energy and address grid peak-shaving challenges.

Through low-precious-metal membrane electrode technology (with precious metal loading as low as 1.1mg/cm² while achieving 1.71V@2.0A/cm² performance), H-Ray has reduced the DC energy consumption of PEM electrolyzers to 4.1 kWh/Nm³. Taking a 1MW electrolyzer over a 10-year lifecycle as an example, this translates to saving 0.2 kWh/m³of hydrogen produced, amounting to over 3 million yuan in electricity cost savings over 415410 USD a decade - a substantial economic benefit. Thanks to domestic supply chain collaboration, PEM hydrogen production equipment costs have dropped by 30% compared to 2023 levels.

Regarding green hydrogen development opportunities, Hu Dalin called for establishing a green hydrogen carbon accounting system at the policy level. He proposed using a "green certificate + carbon tax" mechanism to differentiate the economics between gray and green hydrogen, while adopting the EU's "temporal and spatial correlation" principle to ensure real-time matching between renewable power generation and hydrogen production, thereby avoiding "pseudo-green hydrogen" issues. He revealed that H-Ray is currently working with European partners to obtain ASME/CE certifications for PEM electrolyzers, aiming to capture global high-end markets with standards-compliant products.
